If you’ve been following me on social media lately, you already know that my latest obsession is Snapchat (@michellehdesign). It’s been fun sharing little snippets of my day but more so, enjoying a peek into the lives of my favorite online personalities. Last week, Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income (@patflynnspi) snapped the daily ritual that he shares with his little guy when he drops him off at school every morning.
As his son was about to hop out of the car, Pat asked, “What are you going to do today?” His son answered, “Change the world.” “And how are you going to do that?” he responded.
“Help others.”
Help others. That’s it. We don’t need to focus our time and energy on figuring out the latest Facebook Algorithm or how to gain more likes or beat our competition. If you want to grow a successful business that has a positive impact on others, your single focus should simply be to help them.
This week, let’s aim for less selfies, more serving. If a seven year old can handle that, we can too.
