Classic Font Pairings - from Elegance and Enchantment

Classic is my favorite style—because, well, it never goes out of style. Trends come and go but a classic font will keep your content looking refined for years to come. If you use classic font pairings, you never need to worry about whether or not it will look good. It always works. Every single time.

Guidelines for designing with classic fonts

– As you’ll hear me say, again and again, stick to two fonts, three max. Less is more.

– Leave space for your beautiful classic fonts to breathe, shine, and be the stars of the show.

– If it’s a classic piece, you won’t need a lot of elements. Considering pairing it with a single graphic or image.

– Use the least number of elements to communicate your message. Understatement is your goal.

Some of my favorite classic font pairings

My font library is overwhelmingly made up of classic fonts, but here are some of my all time favorites. Most of the type families in this collection come with lots of extras— variations, weights, styles, swashes, and extras so your possibilities are endless.

You can find even more font collections here, that you can bookmark for your next design project!

If you’re shopping for fonts, please consider checking out DesignCuts, my preferred source. They have the most competitive prices, and best customer service, and best of all, they come with extended commercial licenses. Be sure to check out their bundles. It’s where you’ll find the best value.
