A couple weeks ago, I dipped my toe (or should I say my Faber Castell pen) into a new method of productivity, called bullet journaling. If you’re unfamiliar with this system, it is essentially a free form way to plan your life and/or business. Starting with blank pages was very uncomfortable for me, but after gathering inspiration from the bullet journal community on Instagram, I dove right in and ended up filling 10 pages on my first day.
I didn’t just plan out my upcoming week. I jotted down all those ideas that had been swirling around my head for the last few months. Something kinda magical happens when you write down those crazy thoughts. My dreams were instantly transformed into plans.
The next time you have one of those ah-hah moments, don’t file it away in your brain. Formally declare your intentions. Get it down on paper (or screen, if you are so technologically inclined), and keep visible. Everyone has great ideas, but very few actually get executed. Don’t just be a dreamer, be a planner!
