Inspiration Board #9: Sixties Style

Celebrations· Inspiration Boards· Weddings

Just when you thought you had gotten “Zou bisou bisou” out of your head…here is another reminder that Mad Men is back in action. Being a huge fan of the show, I couldn’t resist creating this board, and I had an absolute blast doing photo research for it. I found an enormous amount of creativity on the parts of brides/grooms, wedding planners, stylists and photographers in finding fun ways to incorporate retro details into their weddings. To me, red and teal always come to mind when I am thinking of retro colors (they were actually influential when choosing my own branded colors!). Because of their boldness, these colors work nicely alongside muted colors like tan, brown and grey. Whether you are planning a full out Mad Men themed wedding, or just serving vodka gimlets as your signature drink, the sixties offer a wealth of style to be inspired by.

Thanks to the talented photographers and websites for allowing me to showcase their beautiful work.
