This past Saturday morning I awoke early, went downstairs, took a five-minute walk to the end of my street and watched the sun rise on the beach. On my way back, as I was snapping a photo of a crane, backed by a perfect pink sky, I had a pinch-me-moment. This wasn’t a magical day on vacation. It was a regular weekend.
Seven years ago, I was living in the cold + gray Northeast and was about to be let go from my job. I was newlywed, and we were happy but knew there was more. It became our dream to move someplace warmer, and eventually, to build a home we designed ourselves. We didn’t just sit around, hoping that a fairy godmother would make it happen. Hard work, sacrifices, leaps and faith, led us to our new reality, where we are more delighted than we could have imagined.
We’re just regular people who wanted to be happier, and weren’t afraid to go after it. Chase those giant dreams, friends, and create the life you deserve to enjoy.
