As we embark upon one of the busiest seasons of the year, it’s easy to get swept up in the mayhem. The shopping, the stressing (and stress eating), cleaning, preparing, and trying to your family at peace. When extended family gets thrown into the mix, it gets even tougher!
It is most important during this time, more than ever, that we get our priorities in check. To remind ourselves that we don’t have to do it ALL. We only have to do the things that keep us, and our families happy, content and cared for. If that means doing takeout for Thanksgiving dinner, or hiring someone to do a deep clean of your home, or crossing some of those commitments (that we never really wanted to do anyway) off of our calendars, then so be it!
Happiness is found when we decide to do the things that work optimally for us, in this particular season of life. When we let go of the guilt, pressure, and expectation, there is peace, and space to be the best versions of ourselves!
