No procrastinators guilt here. In this post, you’ll find the perfect last-minute printable gift idea for everyone on your list.
Ever since I started designing and selling desk calendars, they have become my go-to holiday gift for family and friends. Whenever I get nervous that everyone is sick of receiving the same present year after year, my doubts are inevitably quieted by a flurry of inquiries, usually around the beginning of December.
“Michelle, I just put up my last calendar card for the year. Are you doing new ones? Please say yes.”
The perfect last-minute printable gift idea for everyone on your list
Not only do I gift calendars to family and friends but also clients, our kitty sitter, neighbors, and special people who have been a part of our life throughout the year — like the couple who owns our local pizza place, and is always making us extra food.
You know those moments when you realize you should have gotten someone a gift and you completely overlooked them? These printable desk calendars are perfect for that too. I keep a few extras in my car during the holidays, all wrapped and ready to go, in case of a gift emergency!
Leave Santa’s Sleigh in the garage
These printable desk calendars are small and light, making them easy to ship and to transport. I love that when I meet up with my girlfriends for holiday drinks and dinners, that I can carry them in my purse instead of toting around an obtrusive shopping bag. Instead, I can hand it to them as we’re saying goodbye and it’s easy for them to transport home.
A perfect last-minute printable gift that’s meaningful too
This is the gift that keeps giving. It serves a practical purpose in being able to check the date, but more so, it’s something that will keep your family and friends inspired and motivated, month after month.
It’s a gift for my loved ones, but it’s also a gift that gives back to me all year. At the start of a new month, I’ll typically receive text messages, photos and tags on social media as everyone flips to a new calendar card. I love knowing that they’re being inspired!
How to print and assemble your calendars
This is the easiest DIY gift of all time.
Step 1: Purchase and download
Step 2: Print using a color printer. If you don’t have one at home, see if you can use the one in your office, school, church, or in a pinch, run out to a local print shop, FedEx Kinkos, or Staples.
Print on Cardstock, either 90lb or 120lb. If you don’t have time to wait for an Amazon order, your local print shop will have it.
Step 3: Trim. Using scissors or a craft knife and a ruler.
Step 4: Gift. I like to include either these stands or a magnet clip so they’ll have an easy way to display it.
Where to purchase printable calendars
I’d be delighted if you considered the two calendar designs that I sell in my shop: 2021 Motivational Calendar | 2021 Bible Verse Calendar
But if you are looking for something different, please consider searching on Etsy so that you can support another printables-based small business.
Lastly, if you are a fellow designer and looking to create your own calendars, you can purchase the template that I use for my calendars in my Creative Market Shop.
Oh, and did I mention the best part? You can print these calendars as many times as you need, which means, you can gift one to yourself too!
