I am inspired by people who overcome overwhelming odds to become something they’ve always wanted to be. People who spend years in school to become doctors or lawyers, or people who train day in and day out to run marathons. These people know what it is to believe in themselves and to keep telling themselves that yes, they can do it. They do not fall prey to negative tapes; rather, they combat negativity with positive thinking. I want to be more like this, to fight the negativity and hardship I may encounter (from myself or others), and to believe in what I want to be until that’s what I am. – Janna Madsen
