Anyone else a chronic to-do list maker? I like making lists of everything— from my tasks for the day, to books I want to read, things I want to do while I’m on vacation, and of course my life and business goals. They say that the act of writing down your goals will increase the chance that they will actually come to be, but I’ve found that it’s not enough for me. Maybe it’s because I’ve made so many lists in my life, that I’ve learned to tune myself out. 🙂 My new tactic is this: every time I write down a goal, next to it, I write an action step. For example: { goal} work out 3x/week {action step} lay out workout clothes before I go to bed.
Whether you are working on changing a small personal habit like flossing every day, or you have a project you’ve been wanting to start, or if you have plans to change the world, I encourage you to get those action steps written down next to your goals and get to work on them, NOW. The sooner you start, the sooner those dreams will come true!
For those who may be new to my Motivation Mondays, here’s a little rundown of how it works:
