If you’re a blogger, or a designer, or you run an online shop, you may share in my biggest dread: photographing your work. We all know that the quality of your images can make or break your content. Even if your stuff is wonderful and you’ve poured all this hard work and energy into it, if you aren’t presenting it in a crisp and clean fashion, you lose credibility, (which stinks).
My photography and styling skills have definitely improved since I started blogging, and upgrading to this camera has helped, but the reality is that I don’t have the time to set up an elaborate photo shoot for every blog post I share. This is why I’ve come to rely on the talents of others and have fallen in love with PSD mockups.
If you’re unfamiliar with these digital products, they are basically layered Photoshop files that include many different elements that can be moved around, scaled, rotated etc. So instead of setting up a photo shoot in real life, you can simply move things around on your computer screen (which I find to be so much easier).
The best part is, these mockups can be used over an over again in different ways. For example, I’ve used the same Art Equipment Scene Generator (#4) in a couple of my Creative Challenge posts (see here and here). I’ve already starting revamping the artwork in my Etsy shop using my newest mockup files from the Feminine Mockup Scene Creator.
